The rest of last weeks assignments. I don't feel like my imagined sketches were very strong so I jus uploaded the ones I felt comfortable with.

One of the assignments for this week, 20 quick still life studies. Each about 15-20 minutes.

This week's assignments.

Studies from -

NC Wyeth
Thomas Moran
Edward Payne
Frank Duveneck

The imagination based paintings/drawings weren't very strong, so I just decided to upload the ones that I were comfortable with uploading.

So quick update. This summer I'm studying under Noah Bradley in his 12 week art camp.
The first week just started Wednesday and I'm having some trouble balancing between the assignment and my last few finals, however I'm still really enjoying the first week.

Many of the other artists attending are really talented and passionate for improving their work, and so far it's really been great to be able to be connected to a large group of artists with those traits.

Also here's a list of the artists whose work the studies are based on -

Joseph Wright of Derby
John Singer Sargent
Norman Rockwell
Andreas Rocha
Han Wu Shen
Alphonse Mucha
Jaime Jones
Jack Vettriano
Sergey Kramskoy
Frank Frazetta
N.C. Wyeth

April 15 2013 - 02 - 20 Minutes

About the beginning of April I've been very inspired by foervraengd and Graeme Borland to push and expand on my comfort zone, particularly with environments.
I'll be honest to say painting an environment is really intimidating to me...but here's the first batch of five that I have done so far.

I think I'll continue to upload these in batches as I go, since I want to try and do as many as time allows me too.

Some of them will be really quick sketches, and others will have more time put into them. I guess it will probably just depends on how much time I have, and if I feel the painting is heading in the right direction.
